Bilingual Social Worker

We have an immediate opening for a bilingual foster care/adoption Social Worker who will provide clinical case management, provide training and support to families as they prepare to become foster and adoptive parents. The Social Worker will facilitate the matching, placement, and finalization process for children and families.  The Social Worker will provide all services in both Spanish and English.

QUALIFICATIONS:

MSW or related master’s degree required. Bilingual in English and Spanish.  Experience with youth in the foster care system; knowledge of and experience with providing permanency services; ability to effectively communicate with other professionals; commitment to finding permanency for older youth. Skills and experience working in multicultural settings.  Position will involve evening and weekend work.  Must have own car and vehicle insurance. Senior Staff Accountant

We currently have an opening for a Senior Staff Accountant.  The Senior Staff Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization.  Responsibilities include maintaining agency fiscal records; developing and monitoring the agency budget, including cost allocation methodology; posting, balancing, and reconciling the general ledger and any subsidiary accounts; managing all billing related to agency contracts and grants; preparing general ledger reconciliations and audit schedules; and preparing monthly financial reports. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field or equivalent experience. Five years of experience in nonprofit accounting. Ability to read and analyze financial reports. Strong understanding of federal, state, and local nonprofit regulations.  Familiarity with QuickBooks and Excel. Supervisory experience; experience working in multicultural settings. Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position, at a workstation.  Ability to frequently type and use a computer.  Commitment to the mission of Family Builders.
