Helping Queer Youth: Join host Eric Jansen for a discussion about family rejection, homelessness and other challenges facing queer and HIV-positive young people and the agencies that serve them. He's joined by Jill Jacobs of Family Builders -- whose Pride & Joy program helps find permanent homes for LGBT foster kids -- and Curtis Moore of BAY Positives, the nation's first peer-run non-profit serving HIV-positive youth. Both agencies serve hundreds of Bay Area youth annually, both struggle with severe funding cuts and both are beneficiaries of this year's San Francisco Pride Run June 25.
Tyler talks about his life after entering foster care at the age of 10.
Wednesday's Child television spots are highlighting children and youth who work with Family Builders and San Francisco County. If you know of anyone who might be interested in meeting Sage, please contact us.
